So, it has been a while since I wrote about glucophage used for PCOS...but then again, it has been a while since I have been on glucophage. After I took it for a while I stopped taking it. I can't remember why. I think because I was in one of the downside negative times when I wonder "what's the point" and "if I'm not getting pregnant, why take it?"
Well, I talked to my doc again around June and got him to give me another prescription for Femara. I have taken that for two cycles and then started taking glucophage this past month when I went for my yearly exam and decided it would be good to try again.
So, here are a few things that are good about glucophage... it has helped me lose weight. It helps curb my appetite, and tempers my need for sweets. Food becomes...really unappealing almost. It forces me to eat healthy because if I don't...well...it's just better if I eat healthy. Okay, for description purposes, it makes me have lots and lots of bowel movements.
This time around I have been trying really hard to put up with 2 pills a day. I don't know how anyone could tolerate three. I have found that if I eat a large meal, like lunch, if I wait and don't take the glucophage for just a little bit, it sits better with me.
Also, it has been doing interesting things with my cycle this time around. Usually it makes women have more regular cycles. It probably did that with me the first time around when I was taking the clomid because I remember having a cycle exactly 28 days later. So...my cycle hasn't started yet...hmm...we will see.
