Foot Zoning

The next homeopathic therapy that I tried was foot zoning. The person that I go to actually does foot zoning, energy work, essentail oils, and a few other things as well. This post is just about the foot zoning part.

Foot zoning for me is not a comfortable experience, but I view it as a necessary annoyance in order to feel good! Because, when I DO get my feet zoned, I do feel better, even though it is not something that I exactly look forward to.

Foot zoning you usually sit in a chair and the person doing the foot zoning sits on a stool or short chair so they can comfortably hold your foot. They then go along your foot and "massage" it in accordance with a foot chart somewhat like a foot chart they would use for acupuntcure/acupressure. If there is an area on your foot where the energy is blocked, they massage it out. For people that love to have their feet massaged, foot zoning is great. For people like me, who have ultra-sensitive feet, it is PAINFUL!

The first time I had my feet zoned, I think my feet throbbed for a few days after. The second time wasn't nearly as bad. If I got my feet zoned again it would probably be even less uncomfortable.

My little quest through homeopathic therapies though, has been good for me. I haven't been sick to where I need to see a doctor since...I can't remember. This is great for me! Usually by this point in time of the year I have been to the doctor enough that my insurance deductible is about half paid, and it's one of those lovely high deductible insurances. So, I have felt that it has definitely been worth it. I have felt healthier, and when I do get a cold, I get over it more quickly. Don't get me wrong. I still feel that there are things that need to be treated by a doctor, but I don't think I have ever felt this healthy before in my life!
