So, here is the verdict after a week a half. My body only tolerates one glucophage pill a day so far.
When I first started taking it, I felt very energetic...and not weird energetic, just like, WOW I have more energy. Kind of the way I felt when I was younger. It also made me feel like I had acid-indegestion/heartburn. My appetite for food pretty much became nonexistent. Nothing really sounded appetizing and still doesn't. It's been a pretty constant thing.
Then when this week started I began taking 1 pill twice daily. This was more difficult. I felt very nauseous and lightheaded like I was going to pass out and just felt gross in general. Passing out would have been interesting though because I don't pass out. I don't think I have ever passed out in my whole life. *knock on wood*. Anyway, after three days of feeling like that, yesterday being the worst, I "forgot" to take my evening glucophage pill.
So, today I only took one pill and felt fine. I called my doctor and made sure to let him know what was going on, and he told me that if one pill was all I could tolerate then that was all I needed to take. So, we'll see, maybe in another week or so I will try to take two pills a day again.
I have also been taking a birth control pill every day for one month in hopes that it will regulate my cycle. I have also been taking red raspberry leaf pills with it, and it has been a good combo. Normally when I take birth control pills I become a psycho maniac and it is not a comfortable situation for anyone, including myself, but with the red raspberry pills it has been manageable. In fact, I can hardly tell that I am on them at all. I told my doctor that this was what I was going to do, and he didn't care, so...there you go.
