A lot of pain...

Yesterday I thought about posting for about 5 seconds in between bouts of being extremely tired and groggy. I was basically in bed all day with a sinus headache. I know what you are thinking...a "sinus headache?" I'm beginning to wonder if it was a cross between a migraine and a sinus headache, since the pain was in my sinuses, but it hurt like a migraine, and had fatigue like a migraine.

Either way, my head basically felt like it was stuffed with cotton and I couldn't think. It was sooo fun! I love feeling like I just got run over by a truck! (yes, those last two sentences were sarcastic!)

Anyway, it got me thinking about different ways that I get rid of headaches now, versus before. Before I just used Aleve, Advil, or Tylenol to get rid of the pain. I'd start with Tylenol and work my way up to Aleve. Not too great for my body right?

Now, I try essential oils, and yesterday I taped a Nikken magnet to my head. That helped the most. I told my husband I felt like a cyborg on Star Trek. I haven't written about magnet therapy because I don't use it all that often. For me, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. With migraines it doesn't really do a thing for me. For my sister, magnets make her not have migraines. So, anyway, I was running out of ideas and saw my Nikken magnets on the fridge (what, it's a great place to store them...I ALWAYS know where they are!), and almost instantly my headache was gone. THAT was nice! The fatigue was still there, but we can't have everything...

Anyway, if I get to the point where I take something, I can usually get away with only taking Tylenol, which for me is nice.

Thankfully, today, no headache, and no need to look like a cyborg. :)
