Energy Work

Energy work is a homeopathic method that is still a little weird for me, but works, so I go along with it.

The experiences I've had with energy work include two different types. They are two different methods of doing energy work. I can't remember their specific names.

Anyway, one method, the person doing the energy work has binders full of pages with lists of things (lots and lots of things) for whatever emotion or need comes up as positive with the muscle testing. This can range from emotional work to food allergies to blocked chakras...etc..

The way the person I go to does the energy work, she muscle tests for you and when something comes up positive you write it down on a piece of paper in list format (however you like to list things). The way the person I go to sets up the session is that your body will be willing to clear as many things as it possibly can and still be healthy, and when it's reached it's limit, she no longer has permission to work on you. It sounds confusing, but it's actually kind of cool.

Anyway, once you've reached the limit, she then tells your body how to heal itself and get rid of all the stuff that you just wrote down. Since most of the things I've had to have energy work on are with emotions, it's things like, negative word patterns/phrasings, and replacing them with positive word patterns or ideas or memories.

The other method of doing energy work that I have had experience with, you never find out exactly which emotion you need to have released. It's more general. The person muscle tests, and then you stand up and they hover their hands in front of your body until they find an area where the energy is blocked. Then they tell your body how to release the blocked energy.

The difference between the two methods was likened this way to me... pretend you have a brick wall that is all the emotional/physical things that you've had to deal with your hole life. There are holes in the wall. The first method goes along until it finds a hole and then fills the hole in with what should be there. The second method gets rid of the wall and starts over new.

I can see the benefits to both methods. Sometimes there are things that I need to know the specific occurance or emotion behind something, and other times I just want to feel happy again and I don't care why I'm feeling that way.

The first method for me, is like going to a in depth counseling session. The second method was very very relaxing, and while somewhat odd, it did leave me feeling more at peace.

Both methods can have amazing results. For me, it has made it so I am not depressed to where I need medication anymore. I can think, and I don't feel so devastated when things are just going wrong. It has been nice to achieve that. It has also helped my husband and kids as well.

Melissa,
it is interesting that you and I have a lot in common in regards to unconventional healing. I have been studying an internal martial art and some yoga that has helped me to learn how to help myself emotionally (and as a result physically because they are connected). I know that what you are describing is effective too, I have a difficult time letting outsiders get that close. I have also learned to do healing on others and in the process you heal yourself. It is all a little wierd but I can't argue with the results. hope you continue to see improvements.
Love,
Chris
