Essential oils

The essential oils that I like are from Butterfly Express . They have essential oil singles and blends, and I really like the blends that they make. They are similar to blends made by other essential oil companies, but I just like them from Butterfly Express...don't know why really, maybe it's the butterflies. :)

I really like that on their website they have a link to a list of examples for things that you can use the singles and blends for. They have a list that has all the oil singles and blends that they have and what's in them, then what they can be used for. An oil single means that just one herb is used, a blend is a mixture of herbs.

Anyway, using essential oils has been really beneficial for me and my family. I think it has helped us be healthier, because our bodies have been able to utilize the herbs in the essential oils, and our immune systems have been stronger. Usually by this time in the year, our deductible for our insurance is almost met (and we have a high deductible insurance $2500.00).

Normally my kids both get at least one case of croup really bad to the point where they have to be on nebulizer treatments. This year when they started getting a cough I muscle tested them and put oil on their feet. The coughs went away, no nebulizer treatment, no extended time missed from school, it was awesome!

I have also used oils on myself, and on my husband. He got a really bad cold and we have a humidifier that has a little holder where you can put (VICKS is recommended by the company). I put a few drops of essential oil in there, and our recovery time was lessened. A nasty cold/cough that was going through the area and took weeks/months to get over, and he and I were over it in about a week.

Essential oils have helped my son be able to focus better in school, and have really helped him calm down. He is not ADHD, but he is/was very hyperactive. He is still the same boy, I don't feel like it makes him into a zombie, but rather it helps him think things through so he isn't bugging other kids, and he can listen to the teacher and do his work. I don't even have to put it on him every day (he has had energy work done on him too, but more on that later...), if I muscle test him and he needs it, I put it on his feet. If I muscle test him and he doesn't need it, I don't. I feel much better at putting a simple oil on his feet versus the alternative, which would be to put him on a drug like ritalin or a counterpart. This way, no side effects, and better results.

For me personally, essential oil combined with energy work, has really helped me a lot. I am able to function. I have dealt with depression since I was 12. I haven't been treated for it until a few years ago when I finally admitted that that was what it was. Even when I get in a slump, essential oils help me and keep me at a level where an anti-depressant would on a good day. I am calmer and don't lose my temper as much. I feel in control of myself, not like an outsider looking in. I like the way I feel much better than when I am on anti-depressants. I am not telling anyone to go off of anti-depressants, that is something for you and your doctor to decide. I decided to go off of anti-depressants, because through the course of having energy work done and using essential oils, my anti-depressant med started making me ill because I didn't need it anymore.

Essential oils are meant to be used wisely and with caution, like anything else. I have had good experiences with essential oils, and for anybody looking for an alternative to western medicine, I would definitely recommend it.
